Who does John think he is?
In design
With 15+ years of experience across print, branding, motion design, and UX, I've developed a strong eye for craft and a passion for creating experiences that make life simpler for people. I enjoy defining product vision and strategy just as much as refining the smallest interaction details.
My favorite work is building 0-to-1 products, particularly exploring how people interact with agentic AI in their everyday lives. I thrive in fast-moving environments, balancing multiple initiatives while mentoring and helping other designers grow.
Some of my proudest moments are winning an ADDY, launching a fiancé visa product to thousands of immigrants, and collaborating with the NBA.
In life
If it’s 40˚ or below, I’m probably snowboarding—its graphics are what got me into design as a kid in the 90’s. I’ve been lucky enough to see places like Solitude and Big Sky without breaking bones. When it’s too warm for that, I’m hiking with my wife Jacquelyn and my dog Abby.
I’m obsessed with pizza, and my favorite slice is the grandma. One of my pastimes is designing and painting 🐴barn quilts for friends and family. I’m an identical twin, a husband to an incredible chef, and a casual movie buff.
